Date # 15: Spongebob
I had high hopes for this guy. Seemed to have a great sense of humor.
Tea Lounge in Park Slope on a Sunday at 11 am. Hot I know. I had a cherry blossom green tea with honey.
He was very tall and skinny. When we introduced ourselves I got up to shake his hand, and he awkwardly kissed me on the cheek. I never knnow what the proper protocol is for these situations. A nice enough guy. I was definitely not attracted though.
We talked easily enough for an hour and a half, then he abruptly got up to go. I was confused by this, then annoyed, since I had just missed the bus.
As we left we had another awkward moment as to how to part ways. Since I wasn’t about to kiss him, I did nothing.
I don’t expect to hear from him. Too bad. I wouldn’t mind being friends.
His profile said the celebrity he most resembled was Spongebob Squarepants.
He said he really didn’t resemble him, but I thought he did. He had the nose and everything.
He just wasn’t as fun. Meaning I didn’t feel like I was on drugs in his presence. Which I guess is a good thing.
